Dialogue The
Psychology of the Aware Ego
This psycho-spiritual technology
is a strong muscle building process for those clients really
interested in mapping the unknown inner terrain. The modality teaches
how to work with the energy of the vast array of selves that live
within the psyche. One learns how to separate from "primary selves"
and hold the tension of the opposite self, sometimes known as a
disowned self. As an example, this process provides relief for many
overworked mothers and fathers by allowing more sensual, playful sides
to emerge with safety and deep healing. While primary selves are parts
of our psyche that are so familiar that we tend to say; this is who I
am, the disowned self can be found in people that we judge, in body
symptoms, and in dreams. They have qualities that give us more
balance and create new and welcome outcomes in our lives. One of
the keystones of this healing work is the utmost respect all the
aspects of the psyche are given. The qualities that have been disowned
in are culture like vulnerability, sexuality, and emotions are safely
restored bringing with them a richness that lets our life unfold with
grace. The authors of this process, Hal and Sidra Stone PhD. have
written many books and produced a variety of healing CD’s. Their web
page also features a reading room and a dream page that provides
education and healing opportunities. For more information please visit
