Individual Sessions

This is a personal invitation for you to come and talk about some of the things that have been bothering you. Maybe you can’t fix everything that feels broken or out of joint, but you may just need to stop and give time and attention to some of those heart matters.

Our meetings will be held in a very private and comfortable environment. I know that you need safety and expertise to work things out and I also know that your solutions will come from within.

Counseling clears the way for you to experience the solution already present.  A lot of times I hear that people want to work things out on their own. They judge themselves for needing help. Or even more difficult, they believe that feeling depressed or anxious is a sign of mental illness. That is all part of the superman/woman culture that we live in. We are all expected to be such heros.

There really is a lot of beauty in just being yourself, sometimes giving to others and sometimes just receiving what is needed.

A part of my expertise is that I know how to encourage you to release deep feelings. Our world judges feelings as being somehow out of control. So what happens when we feel deeply hurt or saddened after a rape. And what happens if we feel really angry after the loss of a job. Generally we are told to let it go and move on. The problem with letting go and moving on is that we bury our emotional response to losses of all kinds and then it gets stored in the body. In addition to feeling that stored emotional tension, we begin to lose confidence and respect in ourselves.

I have studied a variety of techniques all designed to help you navigate your own inner realm. On other pages I describe these techniques. They can be exciting and fun because they all lead you into a deeper relationship with yourself. Knowing yourself better and feeling good about being you goes a long way in life.

I hope to meet and work with you soon, Kate.
